How to Use These Materials
Before you visit the downloads section, I suggest you read through the step-by-step instructions on this page first.
1) Download the materials. You can choose to download a complete kit (print-out sheets and instructional video), or just the print-out sheets themselves. The second option is only advisable if you think that you can figure out how to complete the craft on your own. Some of these craft kits will be so obvious that there won't be any need for the instructional video; others, well... That's what the video is there for.
2) Unzip what you've downloaded. If your computer doesn't already have an unzipping utility, you can download a free one like WinRAR (recommended) or Winzip. However, most versions of Windows now come equipped with an unzipping utility automatically.
3) Open the image file(s). Each image file is in PICT format, so you will need to open them in an image program that supports PICT images. If you're on a Mac, that shouldn't be a problem. If you're using Windows, you will need to find an image program that specifically supports PCT images. First, check to see if you have one already. If you don't, you can download a free evaluation copy of Paint Shop Pro. Or you can download Quicktime and configure it to display PICT images. You will need Quicktime to view the instructional videos anyway.
4) Print out the image files. Make sure that each image file is sized to fit one full page.
5) Watch the instructional video! The videos are in Quicktime format, so if you don't have Quicktime support already, you will need to download a free Quicktime player. No Japanese knowledge is required to follow along with the video. Although the narration is in Japanese, everything is clearly demonstrated for you by the models in the video.
And that's it! Other than that, the materials that you need to complete each craft (other than the downloaded images) are listed on the Downloads Page.
Now that we've got that out of the way, you can go on ahead, and download something cool!
