Starlight Pops: Rhythm: Site Information, FAQ, and Links.

  OLDER Updates

January 13th, 2005: "Within a month"! (*points below*) See, I told you so!

Anyway, I opened up a new website at kinmoku.net: Everyone, please visit Sailor Stars Tsukuttemiyou!, a site where you can download images and craft kits from a rare licensed Sailor Moon CD-ROM game.

And as for this month's updates to Starlight Pops...

Sometime this semester I'll definitely try to finish the bigger updates that I've wanted to do for a long time. I still need to scan my reprinted manga and update the info in the manga section, as well as take screencaps from my own Sera Myu DVDs to add to the Gallery.

December 15th, 2004: In case you couldn't tell, this semester has been busy for me. Very, very busy. But I haven't put the site on hiatus, and I've been around to answer email. So, this isn't an update really, but just a notice: THERE WILL BE AN UPDATE WITHIN A MONTH. I've already started working on the next massive update to this site, and I expect it to be done sometime in January. I've got tons of great stuff backed up in my mailbox: fanfiction, gorgeous fanart, lots of new images, and some new multimedia - you'll never guess what! Anyway, I just wanted to say that this site isn't dead, and that there'll be lots of great stuff to look forward too in the new year!

August 20th, 2004: Big news! My hosting package got upgraded - it totally caught me by surprise! Hence, all Anime Video Clips and German Dub Clips have been uploaded again. From now on they will be available entirely and permanently, instead of just on a rotating basis. And as for the rest of this month's updates...

  • Added two lovely new KiSS dolls.
  • New, larger, high-resolution scans of Stars and Eien Densetsu video covers have been added to the Sera Myu Gallery.
  • Some minor updates to the Merchandise section. I added another image of the Healer ink stamp (page 2), and information about the reprinted manga (page 5).
  • Added three new songs on Seiya's page in Musical Déjà Vu.

I still haven't entirely caught up with my email yet, so if you submitted me something in the past couple days, it hasn't been added to the site yet.

Coming up next will hopefully be a major update with scans from the new manga reprints, as well as updated information in the manga guide. Whenever I can get it done, that is.

August 7th, 2004: Not a full update, just a minor update added to the Starlights News page.

July 22nd, 2004: We now return to your regularly scheduled updates.

By the way... I'm currently knee-deep in work on a super-secret new Sailor Moon website project. It should be finished by next month. Look forward to it - you might just like it!

July 11th, 2004: Not a full update, just a few notes.

Again, like I said, this is NOT a full update. The next full update will include stuff that people have been submitting to me since the end of June, plus a video clip rotation.

June 24th, 2004: SURPRISE!!!

Guess who got her computer back early - WAAAY early?! (I *heart* Best Buy.) And since I already had this update mostly finished, it was a simple matter to just upload everything... Voila! And don't worry, the main index is only temporary. But I needed to do *something* to celebrate this site's fourth birthday, even if it was a month ago.

Melody Updates

  • Caught up with some old friends over on the Seiyuu page. I added a recent photo of Sakamoto Chika.

Harmony Updates

  • Fanfiction and fanart submissions have been re-opened. Notice that the email addresses used for both has changed, since I lost the two email accounts that I was previously using for fanart and fanfic submissions.
  • New fanfiction by Rainbow.
  • Lots of updates in the SeraMyu Guide. There's updated Video and DVD information, and updated information (and at least one new photo) on pages for both the First Stage *and* the Fourth Stage actresses. Revisiting the First Stage actresses was like catching up with some old friends... Did y'all know that Okuyama Momoko now teaches jazz dance? Or that Katayama Sayuri has released her first pop album?
  • In the Merchandise section, there are new items listed on Page Three.
  • New guest commentary added to the Relationships page, about Seiya and Haruka.

Gallery Updates - Special treats all around!!

  • The Matching Sets page of of the Anime Gallery has six new images in the top two rows. The first three are scans from the old Sailor Moon World calendar, possibly the only new artwork of the Sailor Starlights to have been produced by the Sailor Moon World artist, whoever s/he was. The second three are chibi figures from the "Sailor Stars Tsukuttemiyou!" CD-ROM, and as far as I'm aware, have never been shown online before.
  • In the Doujinshi Gallery, translations for a short story from "Eccentric Planets" have been added.
  • And there are lots of updates in the SeraMyu Gallery! There are tons of new scans, including scans from posters, a souvenir program, and trading cards, all from the Ryuusei Densetsu musical. Next, a whole new section of Ryuusei Densetsu screenshots. Finally, in the Actresses Gallery, I added one new photo each of Okuyama Momoko, Mikako Tabe, and Nakayama Akiko. Plus, a whole new section of photographs just for Katayama Sayuri!

Live Concert Updates

  • As I warned of before, both sections of Video Clips will now only have certain clips available on a rotating basis.

Rhythm Updates

  • The Site FAQ has been updated, with new information on where to download Stars fansubs.
  • Added a new PGSM section to the Links page.

In sadder news, four of my six sister sites seem to have gone MIA. They were four of the best darn Starlights site ever to exist, and I will *weep* if this means that they're gone forever.

June 17th, 2004: More unexpected delays.

Computer's busted again. Gone for another three weeks. (Stupid Best Buy. Oh well, at least they're fixing it for me for free.) This means that the next update will not be done *before* July, as I had originally promised, but more likely sometime *during* July. Read below for more details about what has to be done, on my part, before then. Sorry.

May 26th, 2004: Unexpected delays.

Well, here I am, with a whole lot of cool stuff sitting around on my computer, just waiting to be uploaded to this site in the form of a brand-spanking-new update. The problem is, I have run into a few unexpected roadblocks:

1) My computer's busted. On the hardware level. I had to hand it over to Best Buy customer service just a few days ago, and I might not see it again for three weeks. All of the material that I need to use in order to update this site again is stored on that computer. I had no way of removing said material *from* the computer due to the fact that the thing that broke was my disc drive. So I couldn't burn CDs, couldn't fit it all onto floppy disks, and couldn't upload anything online, because...

2) I'm out of space at kinmoku.net. Yes, that's right. This domain has filled up 600 MB of Starlighty-goodness. Which means that before I can add anything new, some old things are going to have to go. The biggest culprit, as far as space-eating goes, is the video clips archive, which will probably be the first to go. That doesn't mean that I'll be taking the videos offline permanently. It does mean, however, that I'll probably make only a few videos available at any given time, on a rotating basis. Either way, before I can update the site again, I'm going to have to do some serious re-arranging of files on this domain.

3) By the time that I *do* get my computer back, I will be moving. Yes, that's right. Packing up and moving up north to Minnesota. So even though I'll have my computer again, I don't expect to have time to be able to work on the site, not until I've finished moving and settling in to my new apartment.

The bottom line? I don't expect to be able to take this site off hiatus until, um, later than I had originally planned. But I've got some really cool stuff lined up for the next update, so watch for it! This site will be off hiatus by July at the very latest, I promise.

December 15th, 2003: Last update before hiatus. Better late than never, eh?

  • Finally! Finished thumbnailing those darn screenshots in the Sera Myu gallery.
  • New fanart by Abbie-chan, Naia Zifu, Rainbow, and Sailor Star Destroyer.
  • New fanfiction by Naughteblonde.
  • The Sera Myu Guide has been updated some info on the winter 2004 musical, and the new Ryuusei Densetsu videos and DVDs.
  • New wallpaper by Rainbow.
  • One new submission in Musical Déjà Vu by Rainbow.
  • New guest commentary by Dominique added to Seiya's Romance page.
  • New links added under "Sailor Moon Links: Character Shrines".
  • Some additions to the credits page. Some more people basically deserved a great big thank you for donating information to this site.

Now that that's over, this site is going on hiatus. I'm going to be studying abroad until summer 2004, so please don't expect any updates in the months before then. For a longer note explaining the hiatus, feel free to check the old update on October 5th, 2003.

October 5th, 2003: I can tell that the school year must really be getting into full swing, because not only has the amount of monthly hits and bandwidth usage for this site drastically decreased (it did that last September, too), but I don't seem to have nearly as many fanfic or fanart submissions this time around.

First, the good news. The Links page has been reorganized and cleaned out, and, finally, two thirds of the Sera Myu gallery is thumbnailed and reorganized.

Next, the bad news.

There is no Halloween special this year. I started to make one, but it was just too ambitious to finish, and I just don't have the time. Sorry.

And some more bad news, kind of... The next monthly update, in November, will be the last update the Starlight Pops will recieve for a long time, most likely until late spring or early summer, 2004. Yes, that's right - this site is going on hiatus. I reached this decision sometime back in August this year, but I decided not to announce it until the next to last update. ;) Why is this site going on hiatus? There are multiple reasons. It's NOT that my energy or enthusiasm for working on this website is waning. It's just that RL and other important personal interests are conspiring to steal my time, and quite frankly, I need a break from something. I am a full-time student, with a demanding, time-consuming job outside of school. Those facts alone mean that what little free time I have is extremely precious. And right now, I want to focus my free time on another passion of mine - writing - which has unfortunately taken a back seat to my website hobbies for the past two years. But not anymore. Now I want to focus on my writing. For that to happen, I have to let go of some other occupations at the moment. Finally, and most importantly, I WILL be studying abroad next semester, and I don't want to be bogged down with website updates and worrying about internet access. I want to cut loose, relax, have some fun, learn lots of new things, and not have to bother about checking my email regularly.

I have updated this site on a regular basis, entirely by myself, without any outside help, for well over three years now. That's a heckuva lot of time to have poured into one website. And now, I want to try spending my time on something different, for once.

What does this mean for you, dear visitor? It means that if you have fanfics or fanart that you want to submit to this site, please do so before November 20th, because at that time, I will probably be setting up my email accounts to start bouncing back anything sent their way. There will be one last update before the end of November, and after that, it's hiatus, static, and silence until late spring.

I will still be around for sporadic and most likely unreliable email contact during my semester abroad. But other than that, I'd rather not deal with any website-related stuff, so please don't bother emailing me about any of that.

It's been an incredible three and a half years, and I'm so happy that I stuck with this site, and so grateful for all of the wonderful support that I've been blessed with. Thanks, guys, for everything - thank you to all the visitors, thank you to all the amazing authors and artists who have contributed material to this site, thank you to kind friends who send info and images my way, thank you to everybody.

Urgh, that above paragraph sounds like some sort of final farewell, doesn't it? But don't worry, this isn't goodbye. Just a warning that next month, it will be sayounara, for just a little while.

Okay, so, now that that's out in the open, here are this month's updates!

  • Thumbnails and reorg in the Sera Myu gallery! There are also new images added under the Ryuusei Densetsu scans section.
  • New images added to the doujinshi gallery. There's a colored image added to the "H" page, and two new covers added to the bottom of the "Miscellaneous" page.
  • New fanart by Rainbow
  • New fanfics by Starlight71343
  • New Fanfic FAQ added to the Fanfic Library
  • The pages devoted to the actresses in the Sera Myu Guide have been updated with images
  • The links list has been reorganized and cleaned out, and new many links have been added.

September 9th, 2003: Way for me not to make good on my promises (*points to update below*). No, there are not Sera Myu thumbnails, nor a re-org of the links list, at this update. I don't when there ever will be. In the past month I moved into a new house, started a new job, and started a very difficult semester of school. I barely had enough time to update the site with all the material that people had submitted to me in a timely fashion. My apologies. But I'm sure that you guys will make do. ;) Here's to another update!

  • There's been a major re-organization and update in the Sera Myu Guide, including breaking up the section into different pages, and adding material from the summer 2003 musical.
  • Lyrics and translations for "A Shooting Star" have been added to the Sera Myu lyrics page
  • Added three new wallpapers by DarkStar
  • New fanart by Akaiko and Rainbow.
  • New fanfics by Abigail, Christine, Midnight Star, and Rainbow. Also added chapter 10 of Abigail's fic "On a Raven Wind."
  • New songs for Yaten and Seiya added to Musical Deja Vu
  • Links to the ever-popular Starlights fanlistings have been added to the links list

August 7th, 2003: Sera Myu thumbnails, plus a major update and reorganization of the Links list, will be coming at the next update! As for this update:

  • New fanart by Crissy, Menagi-chan, and Nancy. Menagi-chan now has her own page of fanart as well.
  • New fanfics by Meli Moondrops and by Rainbow
  • New songs for Yaten and Seiya added to Musical Deja Vu
  • New guest commentary about Seiya and Michiru added to the relationships section
  • New images added to the Sera Myu gallery. New images have been grouped in a seperate "New" section, so that you can find them right away.
  • New commentary added to the tarot card debate
  • One new site gift from Dark Star.
