Special Section: Starlights, Manga Style
When I originally created this website, the Sailor Moon manga had not been completely translated into English, and the final three volumes of the original Kodansha print (in which the Sailor Starlights appear) was not widely available outside of Japan. Thus, I created this special subsection of manga-only information, since the manga was more unfamiliar to North American fans than the Sailor Stars anime was. Now, however, the Stars manga is avaible in a (very poorly) translated edition printed by Tokyopop/Mixx. The publication of the Stars manga of course necessitated the addition of the "Mixxtakes" list linked below.
Special Section: Mythology and Symbolism
Naoko Takeuchi is a genius when it comes to symbolism and mythology interwoven into the subtle little details of the Sailor Moon universe. Each Sailor Senshi has a specific name, birthdate, zodiac sign, birth stone, blood type, floral symbol, and mythological representation, that relates to the overall theme of their personalities and their Senshi powers. The Sailor Starlights are no exception. Here you will find a collection of information about the mythology and symbolism behind the Sailor Starlights.
