  Sailor Stars Manga

Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon (original edition) manga volumes 16, 17, and 18 comprise the "Stars" arc. These three volumes feature the Sailor Starlights prominently (er, that is, until volume 18, when all three of them die on the second page).

  Sailor Stars Artbooks

Manga Artbook Five collects all of the color manga illustrations of the Starlights.

Manga Artbook Six (Materials Collection) contains beautiful original sketches of the Starlights, in both color and black and white. Each of the three Starlights has a page devoted to Naoko's original notes and designs for the character. She even lists attacks and powers for the Starlights that aren't included in the anime or the manga.

Of course, you can see scans from the manga and the artbooks in the Gallery, and you can read the translated notes from the Materials Collection here.

Sailor Stars Television Magazine Deluxe is the only anime artbook available for the Sailor Stars season. It contains lots of artwork and screenshots from the series, character design and information, and much more. The book also contains lots of material that covers the end of the SuperS season as well.

  Other Sailor Stars Books

The Sailor Moon Fanbooks published in Germany are full of anime images and information about the Starlights. For more information about the fanbooks, as well as scans, translations, and a shopping guide, click here.

There are also children's cardboard storybooks available in Japanese. The books retell events from the Stars anime. The artwork in these books is pretty, well, bad. But the books themselves are cute anyway. Each book is 18 full-color pages long. These books are part of a larger series that apparently covers the entire length of the anime. The Stars volumes, shown below, are numbered 45 through 54. For sample images, click below.

Coloring Books including the Sailor Starlights are few and far between, but they *do* exist. For coloring book scans, visit the Gallery. You can just print out all the scans from there and make your own coloring book. Whatever.

Paper Doll Books including the Sailor Starlights are equally as rare, and run into some, er, gender problems in their design. Below left is one paper doll book that includes the Starlights; to the right is a different paper doll set that includes all three Starlights, and a sample scan from it. This second set includes both casual outfits and sailor fuku for the Starlights.

I actually found a used copy of the first paper doll set pictured above. The set is supposed to include Usagi/Moon and the three Starlights. Unfortunately, my used copy is in poor condition, and the Fighter doll is missing entirely. But here are some scans anyway:

Yyyyyyeah, like I said: The dolls are in poor condition, Fighter is missing, and apparently Maker's sailor fuku is missing as well. I do have Sailor Moon, though, although I didn't bother to scan her. It should be noted, however, that out of the outfits that come with the set, a few outfits only fit Usagi/Moon, including: the Eternal Moon fuku (obviously), a summer blouse and shorts combo, and a frilly pink goth loli dress. It's kind of sad that the paper doll designers didn't make sure that every outfit would be able to fit on every doll. That really limits the cracktastic possibilities for outfit-switching, especially if you want to dress up Seiya in the Eternal Moon fuku, or if you want to turn Yaten into a frilly pink babydoll goth. Sadness.

By the way, if you want scans from a lovely Italian paper doll book featuring the Sailor Starlights, click here!

Publishers in Germany have also produced awesome Sticker Books that include Sailor Starlights stickers. For a scan of some stickers and a collector's album, click below.
