Sailor Stars LD (9 volumes; out of print)
The Sailor Stars anime had originally been collected onto nine Japanese laserdisc volumes. They could have been purchased individually, or in a boxed set. However, these LDs are now out of print. There were also nine matching VHS volumes printed in Japan. The covers of the VHS volumes had the same images as the corresponding LD covers, but, duh, they were thin and rectangular, not large and square. These are also now out of print.Sailor Stars DVD (6 volumes; still available)
It took about ten years after Stars finished airing on TV, but Toei has finally released all of Sailor Stars on Region 2 (Japanese) DVD. You can find scans of the new DVDs, and the corresponding collector's artbox, in the Image Gallery. Of course, the Region 2 DVDs will not play on North American DVD players, and they have only Japanese audio, with no subtitles.
In addition, TOEI produced a rare Sailor Moon Sailor Stars Memorial videotape. On the tape, Usagi recaps all the important events of the Stars season, while corresponding clips from the anime are shown. There's no new animation in the video, although Mitsuishi Kotono recorded original voice work for the narration. You can see the front and back of the video below.
