Moments of Stupidity in Idoldom

Moment A:

The lights are dim. Curtains are closed so that no one can see behind them. A sense of curiosity floods over the crowd as the curtains begin to open.

Bright lights flash as the Three Lights are revealed. They have their backs facing the enthralled audience. Moving together the amazing idols whirled around, causing screams of "Sieya!", "Taiki!", and "Yaten!" to issue forth from the mouths of the enraptured watchers.

Smirking, Seiya tilted his head to one side and took a deep breath as if he was going to begin singing, "You thought we were gonna do something, didn't you?"

Moment B:

The crowd chatters quietly amongst themselves as they watch the curtains sway in the breeze. They can’t wait for the concert to begin. The outdoor stadium was cool, and the fresh air felt good.

With an audible squeaks and groans the curtains pulled apart. No one was on stage. The audience grew quiet and watched the stage intently. Nothing moved, that is, unless the wind brushed her elegant hand against it.

The back wall of the stage is covered in dark blue curtains dotted golden stars. There were more curtains gather together in five separate clumps. These back curtains were black, like the ones in the front. An microphone wailed and a mysterious voice spoke into it, “Testing, testing. One, two, three.” and then everything went dead. Dim lights turned on with a snap.

“What’s going on?” Someone voiced the question everyone was wondering.

Taiki’s voice came over the P.A. system. His voice was low and mysterious, “From out of the forbidden darkness two mystical heroes appear…”

…”Music Man!…” Seiya burst out of a bundle of hiding curtain on the right. He flung the curtains off as if the were a flowing cape. He bowed elegantly and blew kisses at the audience. Then he posed, showing how strong he was.

“…And Lyrics Boy!” Someone in the curtains to the left wiggled and jostled as Taiki announced his name. He had gotten himself wound too tightly in the curtains he was hiding in.

Finally, Yaten fell onto the floor. He had finally managed to free himself from his captor, and he grinned to the audience as he propped himself up with his elbow. He stood up hurriedly and brushed some dust off his suit.

Moment C:

Nagareboshi he started and Yaten closed his eyes, mentally preparing himself.  His heart dared to beat a little faster as he swallowed silently.

Seiya felt as if he was born for this. Of coarse, he had a special evening planned. He felt like he was going to clap his hand as loud as possible, just because he wanted to.

I wish we knew were you were, Taiki whispered earnestly. Where is our lady? He had a feeling that Seiya could have been glowing. Taiki’s auburn hair wisped about in the wind that blew through the open ceiling.

Lights flashed, and the hearts of the Three Lights beat faster. The moment was almost here. They could all feel it. It was time to sing for their Princess. The voices began, “Search for your love. Search for you love.”

The crowd cheered them on as they felt the first words almost forming on the lips of the singers. Taiki and Yaten began singing with their souls, but Seiya wasn’t going to drop what he had planned. He sang completely different words to their well know song.

Seiya sang his own words and enjoyed it. He couldn’t wait for the chorus. Taiki and Yaten had stopped singing and were blinking repeatedly at Seiya. “Seiya baka!” Yaten spat with distaste.

Taiki could only shake his head in embarrassment.

“Clip, clippity, clip. Clip those little suckers. Clip, clipity, clip. They can’t withstand your power. Clip, clippity, clip. The power of toenail clippers!” as he sang he swayed and made little clipping motions with his hands.

“Baka!” Taiki and Yaten yelled as they threw their microphones at Seiya’s head.

“Nani!? What was that for?” He asked as he rubbed his sore head.

Moment D:

It was a Three Lights concert. The people of Crystal Tokyo had fought hard for tickets. The Three Lights were living legends! Every one knew who they were, and they loved their music.

Taiki walked calmly up on stage, “A wave of throat sickness had decided that Seiya would be a perfect target. So, unfortunately…” Yaten snickered as he walked onto the stage. Taiki glared at him and continued, “So he will not be singing tonight. I would like to say sorry to all those Seiya fans that came just to see him.”

Todokanu Omoi began and Taiki and Yaten sung by themselves. So, they think I can’t sing just because I had a sore throat yesterday? Ha! Seiya climbed skillfully into the rafters of the stage.

Unwinding one of the sandbags he untied another rope and secured it after he tied it around his waits. Carefully, he lowered himself just below the overhanging curtains and waved at the audience.

The crowd hooted with laughter. Yaten gave Taiki a confused look, and Taiki return it. That only made the already laughing crowd laugh more. Seiya pulled himself back up as the two Lights who were on stage whirled around and looked behind them.

When they started singing again Seiya swung back and forth, acting like Tarzan or George of the Jungle. The audience was delighted.

When Taiki and Yaten swung the door open they saw Seiya lying lazily on the couch. “How did the concert go?” he asked innocently.

“It was fine, I suppose. These humans get stranger all the time. They kept laughing and we could figure out what it was,” Taiki settled down in a chair.

Yaten shoved Seiya’s feet of the couch and sat down, “What have you been doing the whole time?” he asked, not really caring.

“Oh, nothing much. I just hung around,” Seiya grinned to himself.
