Chapter 18: Go For the Dream!  Work to be a Star!
	Minako and Artemis gazed at the letter with happiness dancing in their
 eyes, then became sad.  Minako left the room, heading for the Crown Fruit Parlor
 to visit Ami, Rei, Usagi, and Makoto.  "You're in a contest for people who want 
to be idols?" asked Usagi.  "Yes.  If she is chosen, she will get to make her own
 recording," explained Artemis.  "But we also need to study while we're in school,
 right, Ami-chan?" Minako suddenly said.  Everyone else looked so shocked their eyes
 nearly popped out of their heads.  "Otherwise you'll end up doing the make-up exams!
  Let's go study!" gushed Minako, running away.  "What's with her?  I've never heard
 her talk like that," commented Makoto.  "This contest is at a bad time, and she 
doesn't want to enter," said Artemis.  "Right.  Not only do we have our enemies to 
contend with, but Yaten-chan is another problem," added Ami.  "I think she should 
go for it.  Any time that you get a chance to fulfill your dreams is a good time," 
said Usagi, going off to find Minako.

	Usagi finally got a chance to talk to her friend after school.  "Minako-chan,
 I really think you should try the contest.  If it's your dream to be a star, you 
should try for this!" insisted the meatball-headed girl.  "I'll think about it," agreed
 Minako.  On the day of the contest, Minako had made up her mind.  She was going to 
enter it!  She and Artemis waited in line for the contest to start.  Soon the judges
 arrived.  One of them, a man named Mr. Moroboshi, seemed to have a lot of fans, and 
he was chased by a bunch of girls.  Then, who should arrive but Yaten!  She was just 
as shocked to see Minako as Minako was to see her.  She grabbed Minako and pulled her
 off to a corner away from everyone as Minako screamed and protested.  "What are you 
doing here?" Yaten hissed, shoving Minako to the wall.  "I've come to fulfill my dreams,"
 gasped Minako, shaking with fright.  "You have a more important duty than that!" 
Yaten swung her arm to punch Minako, who ducked out of the way and escaped.  "Hey!  
My friends told me to come.  My dreams are their dreams, and their dreams are mine,"
 retorted Minako, stomping off to the dressing room.

	The first contest was a singing contest.  As Yaten and Mr. Moroboshi waited 
for the other judge, a girl who looked suspiciously like Tin Kitty entered the room.  
"Hi.  Ms. Karasuma couldn't make it, so I'm her replacement.  I'm Suzu," said the girl,
 sitting at the judges table.  Soon it was Minako's turn.  She sang her song, "Age of
 Aquarius."  Afterwards, she met up with Artemis.  "What happened to you?  You usually
 sing better than that," scolded the white cat.  Minako's last test was for the judges
 to ask her questions.  Yaten asked her if she had something more important to consider
 before she became an idol.  "This is my dream.  I want to send my love through music, 
just like you Lights do," said Minako.  "You lose, Yaten-chan.  She certainly shines," 
said Mr. Moroboshi.  "You shine more," said Suzu.  Meowing like a cat, she transformed 
into Tin Kitty, and stole his Star Seed.  Minako and Yaten ducked out of the room.  
"Healer Star Power!"  "Venus Crystal Power!"  "Make Up!"

	"In the name of love and beauty, I shall punish you!"  Sailor Venus finished 
doing her speech.  "What an annoyance," sniffed Tin Kitty.  "There you are!" another 
voice shouted.  Lead Crow stormed in.  "You stole my target!" she accused.  Ignoring 
Lead Crow, Tin Kitty said "Let's see how you handle Sailor Musician, you annoyance!"
She and Lead Crow left through the magic telephone booth, fighting like siblings.  
Sailor Musician shot music notes at the two Senshi, and they hopped around, trying to 
dodge the blasts.  Just then, Sailor Moon, who had come to the contest with Chibi Chibi
 to cheer Minako on, showed up.  "In the name of the Moon, I shall punish you!"  she 
shouted.  "Sailor Moon!  Turn him back!" shouted Sailor Venus.  "Silver Moon...Crystal
 Power Kiss!"  Sailor Musician was changed back into a human.

	Later, Minako and Usagi were heading for the door.  "If you lose the contest,
 it'll be Yaten-chan's fault," said Usagi.  "No.  I was wrong about you.  You do 
shine," said Yaten.  Chibi Chibi bounced by, and Yaten noticed something about her.
  "She has the scent of the Princess," she thought.  As it turned out, Minako won!  
As she filed away her letter, she said "I can become an idol anytime!  Now I must 
celebrate with my friends."
