Chapter 3: A Difficult Performance! Seiya's Pinch! Usagi groaned. This math test was so hard! Seiya was having trouble, too. She remembered trying to get her part in the musical correct. The director, a woman named Akane, had told her she was doing everything wrong. In a fit of frustration, she stood up and screamed, causing the whole class to stare at her. After school, the tests had been passed back and graded. "16? You got a 16? That's worse than my 30!" gasped Usagi, peeking at Seiya's paper. "Really? Let me see!" giggled Yaten, snatching the paper from her older sister. Seiya snarled, and proceeded to chase Yaten around the schoolyard. Just then, Rei arrived. "What are they up to?" she asked. "Seiya-chan got a bad grade," answered Usagi. "Really? Hey, Seiya-chan! You can join our study group! We're all only 16, we need a 17-year-old older girl like you!" called Rei, chasing Seiya. Yaten turned sharply, crashing into Rei. Seiya fell on both of them, as Taiki and Usagi anime-sweatdropped. Taking a break from the musical practice, the Three Lights sat on the steps by Usagi and Rei. "Akane hates me!" Seiya whined. "She does?" asked Rei. "That's 'cause you're not smart, like me!" boasted Yaten. "Why you little!" Seiya screamed, lunging for Yaten. Soon, the two sisters were wrestling on the steps, screaming and making a lot of noise. Akane stuck her head in. "Of course you're going to do poorly, Seiya-san! You spend too much time fighting with your sister!" she scolded. "Hey, you're Sister Angela!" gasped Rei, who went to a Catholic school. Later, Akane was praying at a chapel when Seiya arrived. "How come you hate me so much?" she asked. "I don't hate you. I know you can do better, especially since you're so much older than your sisters. Usually the first-born in a family is a perfectionist who outshines her younger siblings," said Akane. "Hey, don't stereotype me! I'll try to do better on the musical, if you don't stereotype me!" pleaded Seiya. Akane agreed, and outside the practice room, Usagi and Rei watched as Seiya leaped around to the music. After the practice, Usagi met up with Seiya again. "You know, I have a younger brother I fight with too," said Usagi reassuringly. "Really? I thought sisters were always best friends," said Rei. "Taiki-chan's the only one who's nice to me. Yaten's a jerk to both of us," whined Seiya. Suddenly Seiya heard Akane scream! She rushed back into the practice room, where she saw Iron Mouse extract Akane's Star Seed. Ducking behind a flight of stairs, Seiya proceeded to pull out her transformation pen. "Fighter Star Power, Make Up!" she shouted, transforming into her super-heroine alter-ego, Sailor Star Fighter. Sailor Director, the phage, leaped at Star Fighter, who screamed and ran away. Usagi and Rei peeked into the room. "Boy, that Star Fighter sure acts the way you used to, always running away in fights," commented Rei. "Hey! I don't do that anymore! Moon Eternal Power, Make-Up!" shouted Usagi, transforming into Sailor Moon. "Mars Crystal Power, Make-Up!" shouted Rei, and she transformed into Sailor Mars. "Leave that girl alone!" "We are agents of love and justice, pretty Sailor Senshi..." "Sailor Moon!" "Sailor Mars!" "In the name of the Moon, I shall punish you!" The two superheroines did their familiar speech. The sight of help boosted Star Fighter's courage, and she used her own attack, Star Serious Laser, to blast the phage. "Starlight Honeymoon Therapy Kiss!" Sailor Moon used her attack to turn Akane human again. The next day, Seiya had completed the make-up exam. "Hey, look everyone! I got a 60! I passed! Taiki-chan helped me study!" Seiya giggled proudly. "A 60? She's proud of a 60? That's my silly sister," said Yaten, a bit embarrassed.
