Haruka’s Plant Disaster Disclaimer: Naoko owns Sailor Moon and the characters, not me. Also, this is a parody of “Little Shop of Horrors” as well. This story is set in the Stars season, right after episode 191. Also, the Starlights have not been changed from the original, unlike the way they are normally changed in my stories. Beware, Seiya and Sailor Pluto fans, because both of them are killed in this story. Another thing to beware, Haruka is rather out of character. If you don’t like it, don’t read any of my fanfiction, because characters acting in strange ways is a hallmark of my stories. Even though it wasn’t really January then, I’m pretending it was, for the sake of the story. “Good morning, and happy birthday, Haruka!” giggled Michiru, giving her partner a wake-up kiss. Haruka opened her eyes, and saw Michiru, Setsuna, and Hotaru standing by the bed she and Michiru shared. “We made breakfast, and we also got your presents, Haruka-papa!” added Hotaru excitedly. “Thank you, everyone,” said Haruka, getting up. After getting dressed, she came downstairs. After everyone ate, it was present time. “First is from me,” said Setsuna, handing her a box. Haruka opened it eagerly, feeling as if she were a young child Chibi-Usa’s age. It was a remote control racecar. “Thank you, Setsuna!” said Haruka brightly. “The other is from Michiru-mama and me,” said Hotaru. Michiru set a strange plant on the table. It had only one flower, which looked like it hadn’t bloomed yet. Upon examining it, it appeared to have lips on top. But strangely enough, it was beautiful. “Thank you, everyone,” said Haruka. A few days later, it seemed like the plant was wilting. “Haruka, maybe we should just throw it away. It won’t feed on water,” said Michiru, holding a garbage bag box. “But it has to grow on something! It’s my birthday flower,” pleaded Haruka. As she opened the box, Michiru got a paper cut. Suddenly, the plant’s “lips” moved in a kissing motion! “Michiru, why is it doing that?” gasped Haruka, backing up. “Maybe it’s a sympathy plant. It probably wants to kiss my cut and make it better,” giggled Michiru, touching her wounded finger to the lips. She shrieked and jumped back as the plant started to drink the blood that was trickling out. “Haruka! I think it feeds on blood!” she screamed. “Blood, huh. It wouldn’t hurt to give it a little bit,” said Haruka. “No plant would do that naturally. It’s from the enemy,” said Setsuna, who had been watching. “We definitely need to throw it away,” said Michiru. “No! I can’t throw it away. It’s like a pet that needs to be taken care of. And I’ll give my pet blood until I faint!” declared Haruka, in a determined tone that the others knew from experience meant that they shouldn’t get in her way. “Well, if you really want to. I’m not giving it my blood though,” said Michiru suspisciously. The next morning, Michiru found Haruka asleep on the kitchen floor, with the plant beside her. It had grown some, and the bulb was starting to definitely look like a mouth. She sat down on the floor and held her sleeping partner in her lap. Haruka stirred after awhile. “Michiru, this plant needs more blood than I can give it,” she said weakly. “If we’re going to keep it, then we’ll definitely need to find another way. You can’t keep feeding it from your own blood,” said Michiru, noticing that Haruka seemed awfully pale. “Just destroy it. As I said, it’s probably an enemy trick,” said Setsuna. “No. It’s like a second child to me,” sobbed Haruka. “It is killing you, Haruka,” said Setsuna bluntly. “It is my new child!” screamed Haruka, running out of the room. That night, Setsuna snuck downstairs, holding an ax. She was determined to kill that monster plant. By this time, it had grown even larger. “You must die, evil enemy plant,” said Setsuna, raising the ax. Suddenly the bulb-mouth lunged out at her, and grabbed her arm. She could see that it had teeth as she smacked it with the other hand, trying to make it let her go. The plant only grabbed her other arm, crunching the ax as well. She screamed as it ate her alive. When Haruka came down the next morning, all she found were clumps of spit-soaked dark green hair lying around the plant. “Setsuna! It ate Setsuna!” she screamed. “Now do you realize that this plant must go?” said Michiru sternly. “No! I can’t lose another of my loved ones!” shouted Haruka. She raced out the door, sobbing. “What happened?” asked a sleepy-eyed Hotaru. “It ate Setsuna,” said Michiru, and she and Hotaru hugged, both of them crying as the plant licked its lips hungrily. Soon afterward, Haruka stopped crying and looked up. The Three Lights were passing by! She got a wicked idea that would solve another of their problems and would feed the plant. “Oh, Seiya-san?” she asked, using her most innocent voice. “What is it?” asked Seiya. “Would you boys like to see my new plant? It’s very beautiful,” said Haruka sweetly. “Sure!” said Seiya. Yaten and Taiki followed her, suspicious. As soon as they were in the house, Haruka stopped acting cutesy. She grabbed Seiya and shoved him towards the plant. “Here! Eat this!” she shouted, as Yaten and Taiki tried to hold her and their friend down. Nevertheless, the plant reached out with its vines and pulled the screaming Seiya into its mouth and gulped him down. “I’ll kill you, Haruka! Healer Star Power, Make Up!” shouted Yaten, transforming into Sailor Star Healer. The plant lunged its mouth at them, ready for more food after that appetizer. “Silence Wall!” A shield came up between them and the ravenous plant. “Stop this fighting, you two! It’s going to eat everyone in Tokyo if we don’t stop it!” shouted Sailor Saturn. She and Sailor Neptune stood in the room, transformed. “Right. We can settle this later. Right now we need to avenge Seiya. Maker Star Power, Make Up!” Taiki transformed, and then so did Haruka. “Deep Submerge!” “Star Sensitive Inferno!” “Star Gentle Uterus!” The three attacks shot at the plant, but Sailor Uranus blocked it, taking the blows. “What the heck are you doing?! That plant is evil! Don’t protect it, Haruka!” shouted Sailor Neptune. Pulling herself to her feet, Sailor Uranus gave the plant one last sad glance. “Goodbye,” she said, before pulling out her Space Sword and cutting it. The plant was destroyed.
