Chapter 15: The Sisters Team Up! Yaten’s Realization! That evening, having been dropped off by a happy Fireball, Yaten went over to the Tsukino house for dinner. “So why was your princess so happy about you coming here?” Shingo asked Yaten as they went inside. “She encourages us to socialize. She thinks it’s evil to be reserved,” explained Yaten. “Huh. I don’t think that’s a bad thing necessarily. Sometimes it’s better to be a quiet person,” said Shingo. “I guess it depends on the situation,” commented Yaten wisely. “So your date is a rock star girl? We’ll have no wild partying here,” Ikuko warned Shingo and Yaten. “How come you’re assuming that kind of thing...MPPPHHH!” Shingo started to protest and Yaten slapped her hand over his mouth. “Shhh, let’s just prove it to her by my actions,” she said. “It’s just that she shouldn’t assume that you’re going to act the same way here that you might on stage,” answered Shingo. “Tsukino, this bread is, well, burnt!” pointed out Yaten bluntly. “Ha, ha, I let my daughter do that part,” giggled Ikuko as Usagi fumed, glaring at both her mother and Yaten. “At least burning it is better than making a cake explode, like she did a year ago,” pointed out Chibi-Usa. “When was that?” Shingo asked. “Taiki was on a cooking show with Usagi, and Usagi wrecked it,” explained Yaten. “And Usagi made herself laugh too, which was nice because she wasn’t very happy with Mamoru away,” added Chibi-Usa, finishing her story. “They didn’t need to know I did that!” Usagi screamed. “Oh, but we did. We saw it on TV. Calm down, Usagi, that’s no way to behave in front of our famous guest,” Ikuko scolded lightly. “Yeah, I’m two years younger, but you’re the one screaming like a baby,” Yaten remarked. “I’M NOT A BABY!!!” screamed Usagi, standing up and dropping her bowl of rice on the floor. “Go to your room! We’ll bring your food up later!” Kenji ordered. “But...but...Yaten started it...WAAAAAAH!!!” Usagi sobbed, still standing in the dining room. “Papa, it was kind of Yaten-sempai’s fault. She shouldn’t have been teasing Usagi,” Shingo said, defending his sister. “Yes, but Usagi-chan is 17 now. She should learn how to control herself,” pointed out Ikuko, as Usagi stood by her place, sobbing. “So? Seiya is 18, and she cries and screams all the time,” commented Yaten. “WAAAAAAH!!!” Usagi was still crying. “Usagi-chan, why don’t you go to your room and calm down. You’re not going to miss dinner; we’ll save enough for you later,” said Ikuko, more gently this time. “Okay,” sniffled Usagi, and she left the room. Once Usagi was out of earshot, Yaten said “Shingo, how can you still defend your sister like that? When Seiya acts like that, I scold her, and we fight.” “It’s because she’s my sister and I love her. Don’t you love your sisters?” Shingo asked, confused. “Well, I don’t know. Isn’t that kind of inappropriate to say right here?” Yaten said, stalling. “But don’t you think it’s wrong that your Princess threw your sisters out of the house? Don’t you miss them?” Shingo prodded. “I don’t know. Taiki WAS being disrespectful; though maybe kicking her and Seiya out over the name endings wasn’t the best move. But that really isn’t my Princess’s way. She must’ve had some other reason. And we need to stay together; we have a Shooting Stars concert coming up and it would do no good to have us separated. The problem is, I don’t know what other motives she might’ve had. But I’ll get my sisters tomorrow from Rei’s shrine. I’m sure they can’t stay there forever,” decided Yaten. Suddenly they heard some small slurping and chewing sounds coming from where Usagi had been sitting. Luna was eating Usagi’s rice! “Should I go and tell her that her cat’s eating her food?” Yaten asked. “No, let’s wait. She’ll find out,” snickered Shingo. After supper, after Yaten had left, Usagi came downstairs. “Hey! Where’s my rice?!” she demanded. “I’m sorry, Oneesama. Your cat ate it,” said Shingo, trying not to laugh as Usagi chased Luna around the house. “So, how was your dinner with Shingo-kun?” asked Princess Fireball when Yaten came home that night. “Well, the Tsukino family made me think. I’d like to go out and take a walk by myself,” said Yaten quietly, and she left the house once again. Princess Fireball watched her, confused. Yaten found the place she had been searching for: Rei’s temple. Immediately, Grandpa Hino saw her, and exclaimed “What a pretty girl! You know, I’m sing--OW!!” Rei bopped him with her broom. “Stop bothering people! Someone coming here at night must have a very serious reason!” she scolded. “I do, Rei. I’m not even sure I want my sisters back, but I think it might be better, since we’re Senshi,” said Yaten. “Well, they’re in the temple building...why wouldn’t you want to be with them? They’re your sisters, aren’t they?” asked Rei. “But...Taiki’s so disobedient to the Princess. She stopped calling me ‘oneesan,’ and she calls the Princess by the -san ending, as if she were just some ordinary woman and not royalty,” Yaten said, arguing with herself. “Maybe you can talk it out with Taiki-chan. She won’t bite, you know,” said Rei, trying to sound cheerful, though she was confused by what Yaten said. “Yaten?! What are you doing here at the shrine?! Did Fireball-chan ask for us?” Seiya asked, shocked to see her other sister at the shrine. “I was thinking that maybe we should stay together, since we’re Senshi. But Taiki’s so disrespectful to the Princess. She treats her like an ordinary person!” Yaten cried out, still not sure of what she wanted. “Maybe if you see her, you’ll love her again. She’s really sick,” retorted Seiya indignantly. “She is sick. She has sick values,” snapped Yaten. “WHAT?!” Seiya lunged for Yaten, the two of them rolling around on the floor and yelling at each other. Just then, two things happened. Taiki came into the room, and a beam of white energy zapped the three sisters. “Hey! Who did that?!” Seiya demanded, trying to shove Yaten off of her. “I did. Remember me, dominatrix sisters?” said a familiar white-haired little girl. “Iron Mouse! I thought you were killed by Galaxia!” exclaimed Yaten, falling off of Seiya in her shock. “A wonderful, fun girl named Mystina revived me and the other Animates. Look,” said Iron Mouse, and she pointed to Rei, Yuuichirou, and Grandpa Hino, who were tied to a tree. “What did you do that for?! That’s mean! Fighter Star Power, Make Up!” “Healer Star Power, Make Up!” “Maker Star Power, Make Up!” The three sisters transformed into their Senshi identities. “Well, well. The dominatrix sisters appear again,” smirked Iron Mouse. “I know what that means now, and I am NOT a dominatrix! I’ve never even HAD sex!” shouted Star Fighter. “Seiya, don’t say that bad word,” scolded Yaten, blushing. “What bad word did I say?” asked Star Fighter, confused. “I can’t say it. Then I would be obsce--OWW!!” shrieked Star Healer as she was zapped by Iron Mouse. “Silly girls, talking about bad words. Words are words. Silly girls, keep fighting. It’s entertaining,” giggled Iron Mouse. “Maybe we shouldn’t do that in front of her. Let’s team up! It’s like Shingo said! We can live in the same house and disagree! Healer Star Power!” “Fighter Star Power!” “Maker Star Power!” “Star Combining Power!” The three sisters, glowing with their Senshi auras, shot a gigantic energy blast at Iron Mouse, disintegrating her. Taiki felt a strange surge of energy and wellness, as if her disease had been cured. Maybe she just had needed to use her Senshi powers to get better? Her hair waving like a red flag, Princess Fireball ran up to the shrine. “I felt your powers! What happened?” she panted. “We zapped Iron Mouse. She had tied up Rei-chan and her annoying grandpa,” said Seiya, detransformed. “I think I’m cured,” said Taiki suddenly. “Of believing in democracy?” asked Princess Fireball hopefully. “Of that strange disease that Hino-san said was caused by the enemy. I still have my beliefs, Fireball-san,” said Taiki innocently. “What?! That’s heresy!” shouted Fireball, aiming to slap Taiki, but Seiya and Yaten grabbed her arm. “Stop! Don’t hurt my beloved Taiki-chan!” shouted Seiya. “Princess, I don’t mean to be disrespectful, but Shingo said we can live together and disagree. He fights with Usagi a lot, but he doesn’t make her leave the house. Please let my sisters come back home, Princess! You and I may not agree with Taiki, but she deserves to stay with us, and so does Seiya. We’re a Senshi team, and we should stay together to defeat our enemies. We were able to be strong when we combined our energy, but I got zapped when I was fighting with Seiya,” added Yaten. “But...but...Taiki-chan! Kneel before me! Obey me!” shrieked Fireball. “Since the planet you were going to inherit is gone, you don’t really have that kind of title here,” said Taiki calmly, softly, yet irreverently, and still yet truthfully. Princess Fireball sunk to the ground, defeated. Taiki was coldly correct. She didn’t have any need to keep her title here. “You’re right, Taiki-chan. I’m sorry. I got carried away. I just wanted to keep that power, and it corrupted me, like you had always said it would, since you were a tiny baby,” she said softly. “Yeah, our sister was amazing! Being able to talk from birth! I guess a million IQ will do that to you,” said Seiya.
