Chapter 7: Fire and Ice! A Dungeon Maze as Well! Hotaru opened her eyes and sat up. Ami was lying beside her. “Huh? Are we in that game daimon’s dimension again? Or did we get in a different jungle?” she thought to herself. Ami woke up too, and seemed to have the same disorientation. She reached into her pocket, and pulled out...nothing. “Hotaru-chan, do you know where my Mercury computer is?” she asked. “No, maybe you’ll get it when you transform,” said Hotaru. “Yes, that’s it! Mercury Crystal Power!” “Saturn Crystal Power!” “Make Up!” Even with the two Senshi transformed, there was no trace of the computer, and even Sailor Saturn’s Silence Glaive was missing! “I wonder where they could’ve gone. Maybe we’ll find them here,” said Sailor Mercury, looking under a large flower blossom. “Um, Mizuno-sempai?” Sailor Saturn said, tapping the blue-tressed Senshi on the shoulder. “Not now, Hotaru-chan, help me search,” said Sailor Mercury as she crawled along the ground, looking under leaves. “Please look up,” said Sailor Saturn, pulling a little harder and sounding a bit scared. Sailor Mercury finally looked up, and nearly screamed, because a vine was snaking down the tree directly towards them! But Sailor Mercury was not without a plan. “Shine Aqua Illusion!” she shouted, freezing the vine, which stopped moving. “Huh? How did you do that, Mizuno-sempai?” asked Sailor Saturn. “Didn’t you know that plants are vulnerable to ice?” gasped Sailor Mercury. “Didn’t you know that ice can be melted by fire? Eat my fire, Sailor girls!” taunted a voice from the top of the tree. It was Catzi! “Catzi?! I thought you had been turned good!” exclaimed Sailor Mercury. “That was a long time ago! Mystina gave me a new way to live that’s even better!” laughed Catzi. “Who’s Mystina?” asked Sailor Saturn. “Why get an answer when you’ll just die here! Dark Fire!” shouted Catzi, shooting a blast of fire at them. As before, Sailor Mercury was ready. “Mercury Aqua Rhapsody!” she called, shooting out a stream of water that put out Catzi’s fire. “Well, then! Do you want this?” Catzi asked, holding up the Space Sword. She cut the tree with it, but it landed on top of her when they both hit the ground, and she was killed by the fall and the tree landing on her. As Pluto and Moon had done before, Mercury and Saturn were teleported back to their houses. Elsewhere, Rei sat up, spitting sand out of her mouth. Looking around, she noticed she was in some sort of desert temple. She could see Taiki’s 6’ 10” form in the dim light of the torches. “What the?! Where are we?!” she called out. “I’m not sure, Hino-san,” came the soft-spoken reply. “Well, we’ll never find an entrance just standing aroun--AAAAAAAH!!! What’s that rumbling sound?!” screamed Rei. The two of them turned and saw a gigantic ball of rock rolling towards them. “I’ll handle this! Mars Crystal Power, Make Up!” “Maker Star Power, Make Up!” Taiki transformed as well, though she wasn’t sure what the hot-headed psychic meant to do. “I’ll blast the ball to pieces! Mars Flame Sniper!” shouted Sailor Mars, shooting a fire arrow at the ball. Instead of blowing it up, though, the attack merely set the ball on fire, so now they had an even worse problem! “Use your attack, Taiki-chan! Blow up the ball with Star Gentle Uterus!” called Sailor Mars. “No, Hino-san. We could be killed in the explosion. Climb on my back and we can escape by running,” said Star Maker. She pulled Sailor Mars up to her huge, muscular shoulders, and then took off running, escaping from the giant flaming rock ball. Squinting in the dim light, Sailor Mars could make out a trap door ahead. “Let’s go through that door! Maybe the ball won’t fit through the hole!” she exclaimed, jumping to the ground and running towards the hole. Star Maker followed her, and tried to slide down after her, but because of her big muscles, she got stuck. Shouting “Star Gentle Uterus!” and using the attack like a rocket, she pushed herself through the hole, escaping just as the attack blew up the the ball and an explosion rocked the temple. “Woah, Taiki-chan! I thought you said you weren’t going to do that!” gasped Sailor Mars. She and Star Maker had landed on a lower level. The ball was gone, but they weren’t safe yet, as Star Maker’s attack had started an earthquake! Sailor Mars climbed back onto Star Maker’s shoulders, and they took off through the tunnel again, dodging falling rocks. Suddenly, a vine whipped out, knocking Star Maker unconscious. Sailor Mars leaped to the ground, calling out “Who did that?!” “I did, little firebug,” said a familiar voice. A green-haired woman was standing on a ledge, holding Chibi Moon’s magic bell. “What the--how did you get Chibi-Usa-chan’s bell?” asked Sailor Mars. “PallaPalla gave it to me. You have to fight me to get it! Take this!” shouted Tellulu, shooting a vine at Sailor Mars. The psychic Senshi dodged it, and, calling “Mars Flame Sniper!”, shot a fire arrow at Tellulu. The witch was thrown into the wall, killing her. As she faded out, she said “Curse you, Taiki! You are diseased!” “Taiki-chan! Wake up!!” cried Sailor Mars, as the two of them were teleported back to their own homes.
