Part V "An end and a beginning for a new chapter"


"I told you… Odango didn't recognize me." Seiya sighed. Taiki

 and Yaten looked at each other "Um…maybe you just looked…thin!

 Yeah, you just looked thin that's why she did not recognize

 you!" Yaten smiled while scratching the back of his neck "Thin???"

 Taiki whispered then Yaten looked at him "Oh yeah thin!!! How come

 I did not recognize that" Taiki laughed " Because that did not 

really happened * sigh * she did not even bother to ask if I know

 her" Seiya said while staring at the path where Usagi and Haruka

 went. "Hey… she told it herself, she's in a hurry, and maybe

 it's just a bad timing. Try again tomorrow." Taiki said talking

 like he's serious about it.

"I'm here!" Usagi beamed when she was about to open the door

 the four girls popped out of nowhere and tried to pull Usagi

 away from the door. "Hey what is wrong with you people?" Usagi

 yelled. The four girls looked serious by then. "Hey…what's wrong? 

Could somebody just please speak up! " Usgai said putting her
 
hands on her waist "Um, Usagi, we have both good and bad news

 for you. First, the good news is you can have the cake that

 I baked all for yourself…the bad news is" Makoto stopped, she 

felt like she was not the right person to tell Usagi. "All for

 myself? But I thought it was for Mamo-chan? What is the bad 

news?" Usagi asked starring at everyone "Usagi…I know that I'm 

not the right person to tell you but Mamoru could not be with

 us tonight. He left this morning for an urgent matter outside

 the country. He just called a while ago to tell us that he 

is
 really sorry for not telling us in advance. He only knew about 

it last night." Rei looked down after telling Usagi the bad news.

 At that moment there was complete silence everyone was speechless.

 Usagi's eyes seemed empty she did not know what to say. She 

turned her back and went straight home.

"Hello?" Usagi sounded very gloomy when she answered the phone

"Usagi, it's me Mamoru… are you mad at me?"

"Me? No
 I'm not. Happy birthday! I guess you're really busy there. I hope

 your not homesick or the like while you're there, especially on your 

birthday."

"Usagi, I'm really sorry. I should have called you before I left.

 It was very urgent, I hope you understand."

"No, don't

 worry it's nothing. When will you come back?"

"I'm really

 not that sure, but I will call you as soon as I can arrange

 things here, so I can see you again."

"Oh… I see"

 tears started to fall out of Usagi's eyes. She tried to control 

herself so that Mamoru will not notice that she was crying

"Please

 tell the others that I'm really sorry, for everything! I never

 really wanted to leave, especially today. Please tell the others

 that I'm really grateful and I appreciate all of the things

 that you girls prepared for me"

"Don't worry, I will.

 So I guess you have to go now."

"Yeah, and Usagi…

please take care of yourself"

"…I will. Bye."

 Usagi hang-up. She took a deep breath, trying to stop the tears

 that kept flowing in her eyes. Luna was right behind her, she 

heard every single word that Usagi told Mamoru "Usagi? Are you ok?"

 Luna asked. Usagi wiped her tears then faced Luna "Don't worry,

 I always make a way out of this." Usagi smiled but Luna could

 still see a mark of sadness at Usagi's face.

Right outside the Tsukino's residence, Seiya was standing near

 by a tree. He's been wondering for hours what Usagi have been

 doing and how come she's been rushing to get inside of her house.

 Just when he was about to take a step, Usagi went out of her 

house and noticed Seiya standing right in front of her house.

 "Who are you?" Usagi yelled.
