Kinmoku Koibito! the unofficial Sailor Starlights fan club.

FAQ

All of the following questions are real questions that people actually ask me. I hope that by posting the most common questions that I get here, I can clear up some confusing issues about this site and this club.

I don't get it. What's the point of this club?

Please read our Mission Statement.

Why did my name and website get taken off the Members List?

The only reason that a member will be removed from the Members List is if they own a website that violates one of the rules of membership. The rules are simple and easy to follow. No stealing, no plagairism, no racist/sexist/homophobic content, and no sexually explicit material posted without a warning page. I never remove anyone from the Members List without also informing them via email. So you should get an email from me if your name gets taken off the list.

If you didn't get an email from me, 90% of the time it's because your email account is full and it bounced back to me. The other 10% of the time, it's probably because you made a mistake and spelled your email address wrong when you signed up for the club.

I changed my website and email address, and I submitted the Update Form, but the changes haven't shown up yet!

For security reasons, I have to approve and manually add each change that members submit to the list via the Update Form. For this reason, your changes will NOT show up right away. They will be added the next time that I have a chance to update the list. You can watch for announcements of updates on the Main Index.

Some of the membership badges say "Official Member" on them. Can you be an official member of an unofficial fan club?

Yes. Yes, you can be.

You moron! There's already a Sailor Starlights fanlisting! How dare you make another one!
or, alternatively,
You're a loser! You just made an unofficial fanlisting because the official fanlisting was already taken!

THIS IS NOT A FANLISTING. This site is a fan club, and it has been around since August 2001, long BEFORE thefanlistings.org ever started, Tainted Love (the first official Starlights fanlisting) ever opened to the public, or the concept of fanlistings became vogue in the first place.

If you're curious, the official Sailor Starlights fanlisting is Stage On, and it's run by the wonderful Winky, and originally created by Gill. And no, I did not copy any ideas for this site from Gill, nor did she copy any ideas from me.

So, what's the difference between this site and the Starlights fanlisting?

This site has been around longer. This site is an independant, unofficial fan club, and has been around since before fanlistings ever became fashionable. This site does not list members by country, nor does it restrict membership with any sort of "no porn on your websites" rule. This site also used to offer an online forum in which members could meet and interact with each other.

Stage On is a fanlisting and is a part of The Anime Fanlistings. It lists members by country, and restricts membership with a "no porn" rule, as per the stipulations on the animefanlistings.org website.

But, beyond that, when you really get down to the bottom line, there's not much of a difference at all. Whether you call it a fan club or a fanlisting, it's really just a glorified web clique. ;) If you own a website, you get to put a small button or badge on your website that proclaims to the world that you love the Sailor Starlights. Even if you don't own a website, you can still list your email address on the Members List, and still proclaim to the world that you love the Sailor Starlights. And it's still a great way to find and meet other fans of the Sailor Starlights.
